With her performance in Arundhati (where she practically carried the entire film on her shoulders), this talented actress proved she is not just a pretty face. In Billa, she proved she could look glam and yet mean business. After the success of Arundhati in Tamil (dubbed version), Kollywood has witnessed a meteoric rise in demand for Anushka Shetty's flicks in Tamil. And this time, in Singam, directed by Hari, she displays both avatars with glamorous costumes in the song sequences and a homely look in the rest of the film. Anushka's glamorous avatar in 'En Idhayam' and 'She Stole My Heart' has been sending heat waves across theatres. According to sources close to the unit, "The Censor Board felt that though the oomph has been shown decently, it might upset audiences. So they suggested we mask two scenes in the songs. Had we not masked them, the film would have got an 'A' certificate. Now, the film is doing well in theatres with a U/A certificate."
